My name is Jeanette Cajide and I am technology executive who became a nationally ranked competitive figure skater at the age of 45.
As a guest blogger for The Huffington Post, TechCrunch, Entrepreneur, and Thrive Global, I write on how digital innovation impacts education, healthcare and our overall well-being.
I am also the cofounder of Blurtt, the first meme creation app in the market back in 2011 and a founding team member of several technology startups (one was acquired by IBM).
I am graduate from Harvard University, Northwestern University and the University of Texas at Austin, and use my witty nature and voice to call out the absurdities and hype in technology, groupthink behavior, or my own tendencies and habits.
I spent my 20s and 30s pouring myself into my work and education with little regard to self care. This led to the development of many health issues and a 60+ pound weight gain in less than 5 years, which impacted my self-worth and mental wellbeing during what should have been the best years of my life.
When I reached the crest of the hill at age 40, feeling hopeless about the way I felt and looked, I set out to prove that age is nothing but a number. I returned to competitive figure skating after a 30 year hiatus from the sport and was the 2022 Silver Ladies Bronze Medalist for U.S. Figure Skating Adult National Championship in Newark, Delaware competing against skaters half my age.
My story on how I took a personalized medicine approach to optimize my health as a master athlete was captured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
My journey demonstrates resilience, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive growth in challenging environments. Throughout my career, I’ve consistently transformed leadership’s biggest visions into tangible outcomes, driving significant revenue increases and achieving successful exits. My unique blend of Wall Street precision, Silicon Valley innovation, and strategic foresight allows me to navigate complex challenges and deliver unparalleled results.
